Our findings:

-Significantly reduces vibration/shock on your paddle making it feel buttery and smooth in your hands

- Easily apply to the edge guard or handle underneath the grip

- Comes in a 2-inch wide x 36 inch long single strip

- Light-weight: 5 inches long x 0.5 inches wide = 1 Gram

- Easy to apply and customize size and placement on the paddle

- Peels off with no residue (that we have experienced so far. Unsure of long-term use)

- We recommend overwrap with edge guard tape to eliminate reflection when applied to the edge guard.

- Stick and peel multiple times if needed/wanted (making it easy to customize how you like your paddle to feel without cutting/using more tape)

Designed to reduce the vibration significantly felt in your hands and throughout the paddle, this tape is great for players looking for more comfort/plush feel and less paddle shock on any of their paddles.

This versatile tape can be applied in multiple ways - Wrap it fully or cut to measure pieces around the exterior of your paddle’s edge guard or to your handle underneath the grip to dampen vibration on the paddle and in your hand.

Since this is an aluminum external facing tape, we recommend over-wrapping the edge guard with an additional layer of edge guard tape to eliminate any reflective surface.

Weighing only 6 grams when fully applied around the perimeter ~26 inches at 0.5" wide, this tape is incredibly lightweight and doesn't have a major effect on your paddle’s balance + works beneath or on top of lead/tungsten weight.

How to apply (please be careful, aluminum edges are sharp!):

  1. Cut to width/length
  2. Peel away the blue transition tape
  3. Stick to the desired area lightly (do not slide fingers to apply. Press on and then smooth)
  4. Use a hard plastic surface item to rub/smooth the aluminum foil onto the surface for the maximum area surface to be applied

From 3M: 3M™ Vibration Damping Tape 435 is a low-temperature, silver, dead soft aluminum foil tape. The aluminum foil constraining layer is coated with a pressure-sensitive viscoelastic polymer on an easy-release liner. This tape absorbs and dissipates vibration, reducing noise and fatigue

Vibration damping properties make this tape an ideal choice for a variety of applications in industries such as aerospace, transportation, appliance, general industrial, and more

Cold temperature resistance allows tape to perform at extremely low temperatures -76°F/-60°C

Resists weather and UV degradation, ensuring performance in many difficult applications

Meh, feels the same as adding lead tape to me.

I really wanted this to be amazing, but it feels the same as lead tape to me.

I played around with different amounts, but settled on 1.25-grams on both sides of my paddle and about 1.75-grams on the handle cap to rebalance the paddle so it didn’t feel so head heavy.

Just like adding lead, the extra weight stabilized off center hits and added a bit more ‘umph’ to drives and serves.

After playing for a few hours my elbow started to feel uncomfortable so I removed the tape. I may try it again with about half the weight next week.

Interesting idea fo sure!

I recently tried the 3M Anti-Vibration tape on my pickleball paddle, and while it did seem to reduce some vibration, I'm not entirely convinced it’s a necessary addition in the long run. My main goal was to enhance the control feel of my paddle, but the tape fell a bit short in that regard. For me, using tungsten tape offers a much more noticeable impact on the overall feel and performance of the paddle, making it a better investment for anyone looking to fine-tune their gear.

Poor concept anti-vibration tape - waste of money

The anti-vibration tape was a product I had hope for due to its good idea of reducing paddle vibration. However, when I received the tape, it was to me by far the worst thing I had paid for. Save your money. The "tape" came is large bulky thick strips which were very difficult to cut into straight lines in order to fit the width of the paddle. In addition, it leaves crease marks which is very aggravating when putting paddle tape over the anti vibration tape as it makes it look bush league. I got so frustrated and tired of this that I just put everything away and used my tungsten tape and my paddle tape.
